Last Friday 16th October was Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) Awareness Day. To mark this day, Miss Claessen and the wonderful children from TA4 wrote invitations, decorated the staffroom with purple and yellow balloons and streamers, wrote about life as a student in TA4, cooked and planned a delicious morning tea for all of the Beeliar Primary School and Fremantle LDC staff. Speech Pathologist, James Wilson kindly offered to speak to the Beeliar staff about DLD and provided them with information to raise awareness. Thank you to Jenae Claessen for organising a wonderful event and for helping to raise awareness of Developmental Language Disorder. Thank you also to James Wilson for providing an informative talk on DLD. The Speech team held a colouring in competition across the three sites and some children were lucky enough to win a prize.
As you will be aware there is a Beeliar Primary School ‘Halloween Disco’ on Friday 30th October. I have checked with Mrs O’Donovan and she is happy for Year 3 Fremantle LDC children to attend the P-2 disco at 5.00pm – 6.30pm. Please note that Fremantle LDC staff will be in attendance at the first disco time slot.
Beeliar Leavers Assembly
Please note, there has been an amendment to the date as shown on our Term 4 Planner 2020. The date for the Beeliar Leavers Assembly is now scheduled to take place on Friday 11th December to coincide with the End of Year Family Fun Day. More details will follow as soon as they become available, but for now, please make this amendment to your calendars.
