Wendy presented the following 2018 Annual Report on behalf of 2018 P&C President, David Deetlefs:

I am pleased to present the 2018 Annual report to 2019 AGM covering our achievements in the period, which proved to be a successful year for the P&C.

Some of our key achievements include:

    *   The introduction of the P&C meetings held across all three campuses.

   *   The P&C provided for all of the Teachers Wish List for the Early Childhood, Bull Creek Garden Project and Beeliar Home Readers, including majority of the Big Wish List for 16 iPads and 1 Digital Technology STEM kits.

   *   Hosting a very successful Halloween Disco and sausage sizzle, which was great turn out and good to see the children (and some teachers) enjoying the opportunity to dress-up and party!

   *   A campaign of Bunnings Sausage Sizzles, with approximately 1,600 sausages and 40kgs of onions and lots of participation from parents and teachers to hold the fort.

   *   Many very successful fundraisers (5 Cent Challenge, Movie, Lamingtons & Hotcross buns, Mince Pies etc,) and the all favourite raffles.

   *   The P&C also provided for the annual Year 3 Big Day out (organised by a very dedicated Caron Reid) which is always the highlight for the Year 3’s.

I would like to acknowledge the dedication and contribution of our P&C members, staff and parent volunteers that helped make 2018 a very successful year. I think that those involved can feel justifiably proud of what a relatively small group of active parents and staff have achieved this past year.

David Deetlefs – 2018 LDC P&C President

P&C Association News: Term 3 Update

Well we have a few things going on this term we currently still have the 5-cent challenge in progress so keep saving up your 5cent pieces and send them in for the kids to collect in their class jars. The winning class will win an awesome class party.

The Father’s Day raffle was a great success we had 3 large gift hampers and the winners were:

  1. Bailey (Kindy)
  2. Kade (Kindy)
  3. James (Year 1)

Congratulations to all the winners and we hope all the dads had a wonderful Father’s Day.

We raised a total of $408 from the Father’s Day Raffle.

Coming up on 21st October we have a Bunnings BBQ at Bunnings O’Connor. This is our biggest money maker in terms of fundraising and it would be great to get as many helpers as possible. The last BBQ we really struggled to get parent volunteers, so we encourage you to come down and help as we really need it and all money raised goes towards buying much needed resources and equipment for all our Fremantle LDC kids. Helper forms have been sent home so please volunteer some of your time, it will be much appreciated.

On Friday 2nd November the P&C will be hosting a “Halloween Disco”. We have organised “Bop Till You Drop” entertainment company to run the disco for us this year. The disco will run from 5pm until 6:30pm and will be a gold coin donation for entry. The children will be entertained dancing, playing games and even doing some karaoke if they dare. Outside of the undercover area we will be running a sausage sizzle selling hotdogs and cool drinks. Parents and siblings can get a hot dog and a drink while the LDC children attend the disco. We are really excited about this event as we know the kids are going to have a brilliant time and it is a great opportunity for them to meet up with friends from other campuses. Invitations to this event will be sent out start of term 4. Please note: The Disco is for children who attend the Fremantle LDC only, no siblings.

On behalf of the P&C we wish you all a safe and happy holiday and look forward to seeing you all back for an exciting term 4.
