Curriculum News: National Simultaneous Storytime

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually. Each year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.

This year the National Simultaneous Storytime took place on Wednesday 24th May at 9.00am (WAST) and the chosen book was Hickory Dickory Dash, written by Tony Wilson and illustrated by Laura Wood.

The Fremantle LDC students from our Beeliar site took some photos to share with us and Ms Shepherdson said “We listened to the story, then we spent the morning doing a rotation of activities ranging from making finger puppet characters, making a clock to comparing the story to the nursery rhyme, hickory dickory dock.”
