Event News: Year 3 Big Day Out Photos

On Monday 29th November, Year 3 Fremantle LDC students from Caralee Community School, Bull Creek Primary School and Beeliar Primary School joined together for a Big Day Out. After collecting our friends from Beeliar, Bull Creek and Caralee, we drove to The Esplanade in Fremantle, where we refuelled with our morning tea. The children were very excited to have a play on the playground.

We then walked across the road to Cicerello’s, where we were met by Cicerello’s staff who conducted our Aqua Tour. The students were excited to touch sea creatures including starfish, rock lobster, sea apples and a Port Jackson Shark in a small touch pool. We then walked to Bather’s Beach where we all went beach-combing and had fun building sandcastles and decorating them. We even found some coal which had come from the ships a long time ago and washed up on shore. We then returned to Cicerello’s to eat our delicious lunch of chicken and chips.

Our day was not over as we boarded the bus for the short drive to Melville Super Bowl. The children were excited to bowl and many strikes and spares were scored. Finally it was time to board the bus again for our return journey back to our schools.

The Teachers, Education Assistants and Speech Pathologists would like to congratulate all of the Year 3 students on their outstanding behaviour which made the whole day a wonderful experience. We would like to thank the FLDC P&C for providing the funding to make this day possible. It is greatly appreciated by all staff and students. Thank you also to Brent Lindsay who came along as a parent helper. All of the students are still talking about all of the wonderful experiences they had on the Big Day Out.
