This weeks highlights include:

Being a parent is not an easy job and being the mother, father or carer of an anxious child is even more challenging. The good news is that while there is no cure for anxiety it is very treatable and there are many strategies that have been proven to help manage and ease anxiety in children.

In this course, Dr Jodie walks through everything you need to know about parenting and helping your anxious child. Watch the course videos here: https://parenttv.com/courses/anxiety-and-our-kids/

Mindfulness brings awareness to emotions, thoughts and sensations in the body. Research demonstrates that practising mindfulness for kids is just as effective as it is for adults. Read the blog here: https://parenttv.com/blog/should-we-teach-kids-mindfulness/

In this video, Nathan Wallis, neuroscience educator, talks about helping kids who see things in black and white (or right and wrong) to think more creatively, and see shades of grey. Parents can facilitate neuroplasticity in their kids at any time. Watch the video here: https://parenttv.com/videos/encouraging-kids-to-think-in-shades-of-grey-not-just-black-and-white/
