Principal News: Welcome to Term 3

Welcome back to a new term. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break with your children. It has been great to see them excited to return and share the highlights of their holidays with their friends.

I would like to thank and acknowledge the strong leadership of Viv Doig as Principal in my absence last term. I would also like to thank our Deputy Principals Jennie, Georgie and Nichola for their hard work in supporting both teachers and students in what was a very busy but successful term.

I will be reducing my hours for the rest of the year to four days a week. Viv will continue as Principal in my absence each Thursday.

As part of our re-branding to raise and clarify the profile of the school, we have collaborated with the staff, School Board, P&C and Sims Design to develop a new school logo and motto.  These changes will only apply to the school website, publications and profiles, with school uniforms remaining the same. I’m sure you will agree that the logo has a fresh new look with the four colours representing the three satellite schools and our Outreach Service.

Parent feedback is important so as a school community we can continue to reflect and improve to make sure we provide your children with the very best education they deserve. The National Parent Opinion Survey will be sent out next week and I encourage all parents and carers to complete this online survey. This information will support our future school planning and review processes. The results of the survey will be available to the school community by the end of the term.

Viv and I look forward to continuing to support you and your family.
