Welcome to
Fremantle Language Development Centre
Fremantle Language Development Centre (LDC) is an Independent Public School that provides high quality specialist education for Kindergarten to Year 3 students with a significant primary language disorder or diagnosis of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
We consist of a school and a state-wide Outreach service and provide targeted, intensive language and academic intervention in a supportive environment that focuses on the social, emotional and academic growth of students.
VISION
Our aim is to be a school of excellence that empowers students to talk, learn and grow.

The artwork was created by artist Krista Davies for our school. The painting represents Fremantle Language Development Centre and the land on which the school is built and its connection to the Willagee, Beeliar and Bull Creek sites. The large meeting circles represent each site and are reflective of each school site colours and the Outreach Service. The smaller meeting circles depict the children and adults, who benefit greatly from the service and the connections we all have to each other. In the background there is an emu, magpie, turtle, gumtrees and waterholes. They are the elements that show the connections each site has to the land. In the centre is the Fremantle Language Centre logo with the Noongar words for Talk, Learn, Grow – Waanghan Kaadatj Malatij. This land always was and always will be a place of learning on Whadjuk Noongar country.
