Beeliar News: Term 3 Updates

Fathers Day Video

We would like to share a video of all our fabulous Beeliar Dads for Fathers Day. If you have a great photo of you and your child/ren, could you please email it to by Monday 31st August. Thank you! Can’t wait to see those pics!

Bunnings Project

While we’re talking about Fathers Day… the students in TA3 & TA4 were busily working on a secret project today. Much fun (and noise!) was heard coming from TA4 as everyone was busily hammering nails to build something special for Dad. Only Mrs Reid hammered her own thumb! A big thank you to Miss Claessen for organising this fabulous project and to our volunteer helpers for their assistance.

Language Week Video

Please see link below for our 2020 Beeliar Primary School Language Video, featuring Max (TA3) and Nicolas (TA2) from Fremantle LDC! All the children had great fun and they were very proud to tell their friends about their culture.

We will endeavour to recognise more cultural events at the school and the children from all cultural backgrounds will have the opportunity to participate.

Thank you to all the children who contributed to the video, Filipa.

Young Engineers – Brick Challenge

A company called ‘Young Engineers’ have developed a range of after school STEM courses (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to provide opportunities for primary age students to develop their 21st Century problem solving skills.

Young Engineers have developed engaging and fun programs, using Lego, to provide opportunities for students to explore the world of engineering and technology. The programs have many positive recommendations and these can be viewed via the company’s website:

Beeliar PS have provided their Library space for The Young Engineers to run a 5-week taster course for students from Years 1 – 4. The course will run on Monday afternoons from 17 August to 14 September. Depending on the interest in our community, they will be able to offer other programs in Term Four.  You are able to find more information about these programs on the company’s website.
