Beeliar News: Wildlife Incursion Photos & Father’s Day Stall

West Oz Wildlife Incursion

On Monday 31st August TA2, TA3, TA4 and TA22 attended a very exciting and educational incursion with Josh and Laura from West Oz Wildlife. The students met Judo a ten year old koala who enjoyed munching on new growth Eucalyptus leaves. Next we met Yappa, a friendly dingo and we learnt that he could run at a speed of 60 kilometres per hour. Then it was time for some students and teachers to take a step back as Laura brought out Rambo the carpet python and Ninga, the Woma python. Many children and Mrs Verna enjoyed having the snake around their neck although some students were happy just to feel the scales. Finally we met Bruce, a very friendly bobtail who belongs to the blue tongue lizard family. We discovered that his favourite food was strawberries and that he stores fat in his tail.

A fantastic time was had by all and a big thank you to Miss Lauritsen for organising a wonderful incursion.
