Dear Parents and Carers
Further to my previous COVID-19 communications, you may have seen the announcement of the high caseload settings in place across WA as of Tuesday 8 February 2022. This includes additional measures to keep our schools open and providing face-to-face learning to your children.
In the current settings, parents and carers can no longer enter classrooms, including to volunteer. Volunteering in the canteen or at the uniform shop is still permitted, while following the WA Government mask wearing mandates, and physical distancing from other adults. You are allowed on school grounds for drop-off and pick-up in outdoor locations, but please physically distance, avoid gathering where possible and follow mask wearing requirements.
Due to this directive, we will be unable to have our class meetings as they normally occur. Your child’s teacher will be in touch with you soon to provide you with comprehensive classroom program information and opportunities to ask questions via SeeSaw, email, phone or online. If you have not signed up to SeeSaw, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. This is a great tool to be a key part of your child’s learning at school.
We are currently planning with our host schools and implementing further ways to minimise the risk of COVID-19 entering or being transmitted at schools including:
- moving parent-teacher interviews to online or over the phone;
- changing indoor face-to-face events;
- limiting the mingling of groups; and
- modifying timetables, break times, and pick-up and drop-off times, where practical
- Willagee site: The Assembly format will likely change with only students who are receiving honour certificates and TED awards to be present. These will not be attended by parents. We will take photos of the certificate recipients to send to their families.
- Beeliar site: Assemblies will be filmed and not attended by parents or students. Honour certificates will be awarded and will be filmed and made available to parents. Students will also be eating lunch in their classrooms. We have been instructed that Swimming Lessons will proceed as planned.
- Bull Creek site: Assemblies will not take place until further notice.
We are working through these changes and you will receive further communications as the details are confirmed.

Thank you for your understanding as we take the necessary steps to keep our school safe and open for learning.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school on 9312 4850.
Kind regards
Vivienne Doig
Principal
