Integrated Curriculum

The Fremantle LDC implements a modified curriculum to cater for the individual learning needs of students with Developmental Language Disorder. The curriculum is informed by Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines and the Western Australian Curriculum.

Knowledge, understanding, skills and values from the learning areas of Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, The Arts and Technologies are taught in integrated units of work that build on student’s oral language skills.  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture is an important element of the integrated curriculum.
