Pertinent COVID Information Specific to Willagee Site

Dear parents/carers

Now that high case load protocols for school settings are in effect, please note the following points and information.

The definition of close contact with a positive case in a school setting includes:

  • face-to-face contact for 15 minutes or more with an infectious person, where a mask was not worn by the exposed person or the person with COVID-19;
  • interaction for more than two hours in a small indoor space or interaction for more than two hours in a classroom environment with an infectious person, where masks have been removed for this period; or
  • someone who is directed by WA Health that they are a close contact.

As already advised, additional measures have been implemented to minimise the risk of COVID-19 entering or being transmitted on school grounds. Eating and play arrangements for students in cohorts are working well with little impact on lunch and recess fun for children. Similarly, the ventilation strategy for classrooms is working as required.

The following events have been postponed, cancelled or altered:

  • whole school assemblies – certificates and TED awards will still be given in class with students recognised via SeeSaw
  • week 5 family picnic lunch
  • ANZAC Service week 10 – may occur online

Swimming lessons will continue as long as Dept. Education guidelines permit.

REMINDER: Before ordering on-line in 2022, you will need to update your child’s details and new class number in QuickCliq through STUDENT, MANAGEMENT OF STUDENT’S ACCOUNT to ensure your order reaches the right place!
