Reading Tutor Program (MULTILIT) Volunteer Training

UPDATE – VOLUNTEER TRAINING CANCELLED

Further details here: https://fremantleldc.wa.edu.au/reading-tutor-program-multilit-volunteer-training-cancelled/

The Reading Tutor Program (developed by MULTILIT – Making Up Lost Time In Literacy) is a program that has been designed for students who need extra support to become functional readers.  At the Fremantle LDC the program is mainly used with our year three students to develop their reading accuracy and fluency.  The program involves a trained tutor working with students individually for about 10 to 15 minutes at least three times per week.

The success of the program at the Fremantle LDC is dependent upon volunteers who are willing to be trained as a tutor, and can commit to a minimum of an hour each week.  Volunteers are needed for each of our three sites (Willagee, Beeliar and Bull Creek).

If you are interested in volunteering as a tutor, please attend the Reading Tutor Training:

Date: Friday 30th of April (week two of term two)

Time: 9.30 am – 10.30am

Venue: Conference Room – Willagee site (24 Winnacott Street, Willagee).   Please note, that while the training is being held at the Willagee site, you may select which site you would like to volunteer at.

Please click on the QR code or the link below to register for the workshop.
